Dear Parents/Guardians.
I am looking forward to being the Holy Cross Interim Principal for the remainder of the school year. It was wonderful having the opportunity to work with Mr. Verzillo for a week before he started his new position. This enabled me to acquaint myself with the policies and procedures of the school to help ensure a smooth transition in leadership. Mr. Verzillo was able to personally introduce me to both the staff and students.
Catholic Schools have always been a very special part of my life. I attended Our Lady of Good Counsel in the 19th Ward for Grades 1-8 and St. Agnes High School (maiden name is Schraml).
My teaching ministry with the Diocese of Rochester began at Holy Family School in Rochester where I held various teaching positions and later became the principal. My other Administrator appointments included Principal of Nazareth Middle School and Nazareth Academy, followed by Principal of St. Rita School (Webster).
With all this Catholic School background, I’m sure I may have gone to school with or taught some of you through the years! Be sure to reach out to let me know.
I possess a NYS Teaching Certificate for General Education and Special Needs Education, as well as a NYS School Administrator Certificate.
From all this experience, I can confidently say our Catholic Schools definitely provide students with a quality education in a faith-based environment…and are needed now more than ever to teach and reinforce the Gospel values!
Please know your child/ren’s education, safety and well-being will be my top priorities throughout the remainder of the school year.
