Principal’s Message

Dear Holy Cross Family and Friends,

Soon we will be approaching the season of Advent, a time to prepare our hearts and minds for the coming of the Lord.  This time of waiting and anticipating can be seen so beautifully in the eyes of our children.  They believe with unwavering  joy; their faith is strong and they look always to the future with hope.

Let us all be like the children during Advent and keep our Advent heart throughout the year.  Look to the future with joy and hope.  Let go of frustrations and disappointments, let those feelings spark your heart to seek change and positive growth in all you do.

We do this every day at Holy Cross. Our school is strong, our future is bright.  We are blessed with a Pastor who supports our school, a faculty and staff that work so hard to support each other in service to your children and families who are so supportive and are at the heart of all we do.  We embrace the gift of our 6th graders who are our leaders promoting excellence in all they do.  We are thankful that we will continue to have a 6th Grade next year and for many years to come!  Holy Cross still has the largest enrollment of the Diocesan elementary schools. We are not downsizing, we are growing! We have 2 sections of each grade at most grade levels unlike many of the other schools and this will continue. We plan to expand and grow each year. We look to the future with an Advent heart, preparing for the future with joy and great hope.

We need your Advent heart to help us grow.  Spread positive news about our school, share the great things that happen here on a daily basis.  Our school does so much service, embraces the arts, infuses STEM,  teaches leadership and values, our academics are strong and our faith is evident in all we do.  We are caring and nurturing, we know your children; we are a family. Continue bringing new families to us. Continue supporting our events and fundraisers, attend mass,  join HCSAC or School Improvement. Share our Facebook posts.  Have an idea, share it with us, the door is always open.  Have a concern, hear a rumor, come and talk with us- we all work together, that is how we become even stronger!

Here are some Advent activities for your family to share to prepare your hearts for the coming of the Lord.

We hope that you will support these events at our school and parish in November and December:
